Replacement Screens

It is sometimes necessary to have to replace the screen in your laptop.  This could be due to wear-and-tear or you may have dropped or knocked your laptop.

If you are having trouble with your screen then have a look at the list below to see whether you may need to have a replacement screen installed.

    * Has your laptop screen been flickering

    * Does it come on periodically when you move the screen/lid back and forth

    * Can you see faint images even when the screen is dark,  this could be a backlight failure

    * Check your battery has enough power

    * Have you accidentally disabled the screen,  usuall Fn/F5 toggles between the internal and external monitor

If you have checked the battery and you haven't disabled the screen it may need to be replaced.  And as with all our services, if we can't fix it, we wont charge you.

Anti-virus

Any computer and internet user need to have the latest antivirus software programs installed on their computer.   Antivirus software is absolutely essential to safe and uninterrupted internet usage. It also plays an important role in computer safety, as it can protect your vital documents and files from becoming damaged or lost forever.

New viruses and programs are being developed all the time. Some viruses target specific files, like word documents or excel spreadsheets. Other more malicious programs can actually shut your computer right down, delete or change files contents.

To ensure you are protected against any virus we recommend using a good antivirus and spyware program. You can get a good FREE antivirus program from AVG here.  You can also get free spyware tool from Malwarbytes.

Once you have these programs installed please make sure you update them regularly to ensure you have the latest version of both the program and their virus/spyware definitions.

If you are unfortunate enough to be caught out by a virus or spyware and you have difficulty in removing them then we can remove the virus for you.

If you ever encounter a program that pops-up out-of-nowhere informing you that your computer is infected and ask for payment to rid your computer of them then close that program immediately and seek expert advice.

In no way should you make a payment as these are usually rogue programs designed to rip you off.

Remote support allows us to 'take control' of your computer, troubleshoot and provide a solution to problems you may be experiencing without having to leave our workshop and, so long as it's not a hardware problem, without you needing to bring your computer into our workshop to be fixed.

Our CCTV systems can suit any budget.  From home security to out of town business units, we have a package for you.  Some people prefer just to have one camera watching their cars in their drive, for this a standalone IP Camera can do the job.  Others prefer to have all round surveillance with the facility to view the cameras over the internet form any computer.

Our cameras and recording equipment can cater for most senarios and are suitable for small to medium sized coverage.

We can configure existing equipment to deal with security measures to allow remote viewing or if need be upgrade.

Internet Suite

We now have a small internet suite available.  The suite comprises of 3 fully equipmed machines with internet access, headset facilities, printing and CD/DVD burning software.  Tea and coffee facilities are available in the foyer, you are welcome to have drinks around the machines.
